Beekeeper inspecting hives in golden afternoon light

Our purpose

Honey should connect people, not pass through them

Miel Market exists to remove the layers between the beekeeper and the table. A direct line from hive to home, where every jar carries the region, the season, and the person who made it.

The way it was

The jar passes through too many hands before it reaches yours

A beekeeper in Kabylie bottles wild thyme honey. It passes to a collector, then to a wholesaler, then to a distributor, then to a shop. By the time it reaches you, the price has tripled and the source has blurred.

The beekeeper earns a fraction. You pay a premium for something that no longer feels connected to its origin. Everyone in the middle takes a cut. The only ones who lose are the two people who should matter most.

Rolling green hills and agricultural fields at golden hour

The markup chain

what the consumer pays vs. what the beekeeper receives

The way it should be

One tap. From the hive to your doorstep. Nothing in between.

We built a marketplace where beekeepers create storefronts, list their harvest, and set their own prices. Consumers browse by region, by floral type, by harvest date. Every jar comes with a story, not a barcode.

No middlemen. No blending. No opacity. Just honey, from the person who harvested it to the person who will eat it.

  • You set the price. The only cost is 100 DA per jar shipped.
  • Every jar shows its origin — region, flower source, harvest date, beekeeper
  • Prices set by the maker, not the market

How it works

Simple enough to run from the field

No monthly fees. No hidden steps. Three things happen, then honey moves.

1

List your harvest

Add photos, weight, price, flower source, and harvest date. Activate when ready. Your product appears instantly.

2

Orders find you

An order with two beekeepers splits in two. You handle your part — ship it, mark it delivered, or cancel if you must.

3

Settle once a month

100 DA per jar shipped is added to this month's total. No monthly subscription. If it stays unpaid, listings pause until reactivated. Nothing is deleted.

Flat means flat — 100 DA per jar shipped, same for 250 g or 1 kg. Customer shipping is separate and shown at checkout.

Why trust it

Transparency is the trust layer

We do not claim to vet every harvest in person. What we do is make every jar show its work.

Direct

You buy from a person, not a chain. No reseller layers between the beekeeper and your table.

Traceable

Region, flower source, harvest date, and beekeeper name on every active product. No blending, no unknowns.

Priced by the maker

The beekeeper sets the price you see. The platform adds only the disclosed 100 DA per jar shipped.

Built for all 58 wilayas — from Oran to Biskra, listings and delivery are organized by wilaya.

An honest note

We are just getting started

Miel Market is pre-launch. We have no testimonials, press, or thousands of orders to show yet — and we will not invent them.

What we can show is how it works, what we charge, and what every jar tells you. If you know a beekeeper, ask them. If you are one, you can be among the first to list.

Choose your path

Algeria's honey, closer than before

Looking for a jar you can trace, or have hives to share? There is a place for you here. No middlemen. No confusion. Just pure Algerian honey, direct from the source.
